An innovative methodology

A original training

The arbitration training proposed by CMAP is highly original as it combines arbitration theory and practice in a balanced way. It consists of:

  • 4 theory training sessions
  • 4 practical training sessions, which include an arbitration award to be written by each participant.


The training is run by renowned arbitration practitioners from the arbitration world: law professors, magistrates and arbitration practicing attorneys.

The audience

  • Attorneys, chartered accountants, in-house counsels, business managers and any professional person who would like, or needs, to understand the spirit and the methodology of arbitration, and who eventually may want to practice.

Becoming an arbitrator

At the end of the training session, those participants who would like to become an arbitrator can submit an application to different arbitration centers, including CMAP.

Accreditation sessions take place twice a year at CMAP. The arbitration committee is the only body authorized to provide accreditation will review each candidates’ application.

Anyone may be considered for accreditation as long as he/she is trained in arbitration or can demonstrate a strong arbitration practice, and:

  • can justify of at least 10 years of professional experience
  • is no older than 70 years
